The Department of Immigration and Emigration has announced that applicants visiting its regional offices to obtain passports under both one-day and normal service categories must book an appointment online, effective from tomorrow (29).
Accordingly, applicants are required to reserve a date and time online before visiting a regional office to submit their passport applications.
The Department has facilitated the appointment process through a link titled “Reserve a date and time to submit a passport application from Regional Offices” on its official website.
However, passport services at the Department’s head office in Battaramulla will continue as usual, Media Spokesperson Mahesh Karunadasa said.
