Sri Lanka Railways says plans are underway to resume train services between Colombo and Kandy in January.
Speaking to News 1st, Sri Lanka Railways General Manager Raveendra Pathmapriya said steps have been taken to resume train services to Peradeniya and Gampola from tomorrow.
He added that approximately Rs. 1 billion has been spent on construction and restoration work along the affected section of the railway line.
