A total of 18,129 Dansals have been registered across Sri Lanka this year to mark the Poson Full Moon Poya Day, according to the Public Health Inspectors (PHI) Union of Sri Lanka.
The union’s Treasurer, Prasad Munasinghe, stated that authorities will take strict action against Dansals found to be operating in an unsafe manner, including temporary or permanent closure where necessary.
He added that Public Health Inspectors will conduct inspections throughout the Poson period to ensure that food safety and public health standards are properly maintained.
The PHI Union emphasized the importance of adhering to health regulations to ensure that devotees can participate in Poson celebrations safely.
