A staff-level delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow (24) for a week-long visit to assess the country’s recent economic progress and reform agenda.

Earlier, IMF Mission Chief for Sri Lanka, Evan Papageorgiou, said the delegation will remain in the country until June 30.

During the visit, the IMF team is expected to hold discussions with Sri Lankan authorities and evaluate recent economic developments.

The delegation will also review the performance of Sri Lanka’s ongoing economic reform programme as part of the country’s engagement with the IMF.
