Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, Air Vice Marshal (Retd.) Thushara Indunil Fernando, has urged the public to refrain from obtaining driving licences through brokers by paying money.
He warned that applicants who use such intermediaries have ended up receiving fraudulent driving licences.
The Commissioner General also said a joint programme with the Police is currently underway to prevent brokers from entering the Department of Motor Traffic offices in Narahenpita and Werahera.
