The Court of Appeal today (30) dismissed, without hearing, a writ petition filed by Parliamentarian Dilith Jayaweera.
Jayaweera had filed the petition seeking an order to overturn a finding by the Colombo Fort Magistrate, who had determined that the MP had committed contempt of court.
The Court of Appeal delivered its decision through a three-member bench comprising Court of Appeal President Rohantha Abeysuriya, Justice Chamath Morais and Justice Adithya Patabendige.
