Attorney-at-Law Gunaratne Wanninayake appeared at the Mount Lavinia Police Station this morning to provide a statement regarding an incident that occurred at the Mount Lavinia Court premises.
Police confirmed that Wanninayake arrived at the station accompanied by a witness to give his statement.
On October 15, he was released on bail by the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court, on two sureties of Rs. 500,000 each.
The police had filed several allegations against him, including obstructing the duties of a police officer during the incident at the court premises.
