Sri Lanka delivered a dominant performance at the 4th South Asian Senior Athletics Championships 2025 in Ranchi, India, securing gold medals in both the Men’s and Women’s 4x100m relay events.
The Men’s 4x100m relay team sprinted to victory with an impressive time of 39.99 seconds, while moments later, the Women’s 4x100m relay team matched the triumph, clocking 44.70 seconds to clinch gold.
Adding to Sri Lanka’s medal tally, Kalinga Kumarage won gold in the Men’s 400m with a time of 46.21 seconds, followed by Kalhara Indupa, who took bronze in the same event.
In field and track events, Milantha Sampath earned bronze in the Men’s Discus Throw, and Sayuri Mendis claimed bronze in the Women’s 400m, rounding off a successful outing for the Sri Lankan team in Ranchi.
