Mahinda Kahandagama, a former Colombo Municipal Council member representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), has been remanded until October 26 following his production before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court.
The court also ordered the other individual arrested alongside Kahandagama to pay a fine of Rs. 15,000.
Kahandagama was recently arrested over allegations of drug trafficking.
The raid was conducted following an extensive investigation based on information received by the Director of the Colombo Central Crime Investigation Division.
