The United National Party (UNP) has appointed former Minister Harin Fernando to the newly created post of Deputy Secretary General of Political Mobilization, a key role aimed at strengthening the party’s nationwide outreach.
According to party sources, Fernando’s main responsibility will be to unite political parties across Sri Lanka and coordinate a common program of action.
He will also oversee the organization of more than 1,000 meetings and rallies as part of the UNP’s new political mobilization campaign.
