International R&B star Ne-Yo has issued an apology to Sri Lankan fans following the sudden cancellation of his scheduled concert in Colombo.
In a message shared on social media, the singer said he had been eagerly looking forward to performing for his Sri Lankan fanbase but was forced to cancel due to “unforeseen circumstances.” He expressed his “deepest apologies” to disappointed fans and reassured them that he hopes to return to Sri Lanka in the future.
“Let’s try this again soon. All love and respect,” Ne-Yo said, adding that he looks forward to meeting fans at another time.
The concert, which was set to take place on December 28, was called off at the last minute, sparking public criticism and fraud-related complaints against the event organisers, according to media reports.
