A 40-year-old man from the Dambana Estate area has been admitted to hospital after sustaining injuries in a shooting incident, police said.
Investigations indicate that the injuries were likely caused by a homemade trap gun, a rudimentary firearm commonly used for hunting in rural regions.
According to police, the incident is believed to have occurred while two individuals were engaged in hunting activities, during which the victim was accidentally struck by gunfire.
Authorities stated that no suspects have been identified so far, and further investigations are underway to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting.
