The death toll from severe weather-related disasters across Sri Lanka has climbed to 33, while 14 people remain missing, according to the latest update from the Disaster Management Center (DMC).
The adverse weather conditions, which began on November 17, continue to trigger widespread landslides, floods, and earth slips, causing extensive damage and displacement across multiple districts.
The Badulla District has reported the highest number of fatalities, with 19 deaths attributed to rain-induced disasters. At least 10 individuals have been injured in incidents linked to the ongoing severe weather.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has instructed all district authorities to expedite rescue missions and ensure uninterrupted relief services as weather conditions remain unstable.
