
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake announced that the Sri Lanka Air Force will be assigned a special responsibility in the government’s intensified campaign against the drug menace.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy in China Bay, Trincomalee, the President emphasized the importance of a disciplined and efficient state service capable of fulfilling its professional duties with dedication.
During the event, Presidential Colours were awarded to the No. 3 Maritime Squadron of the Sri Lanka Air Force, while 66 cadet officers were officially commissioned. Flight badges were also presented to officers who successfully completed the 103rd Flying Cadet Officer Course.
President Dissanayake personally presented the flight badges and special awards to cadet officers who demonstrated outstanding performance during their training.
