Venerable Udugama Sumangala Thero was summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today to record a statement in connection with a written complaint he had submitted regarding education reforms.
Police said the Thero arrived at the CID at around 11:00 a.m. and provided his statement as requested.
According to police, Venerable Udugama Sumangala Thero left the CID at approximately 1:30 p.m. after the statement was recorded.
