A fatal road accident in Moragoda, Thalawa, Anuradhapura, claimed the lives of four apparel factory workers early Thursday morning.
Police said the crash occurred when a lorry traveling from Mullaitivu to Kuliyapitiya collided with a van heading from Ja-Ela to Mullaitivu.
Two more individuals were injured and are receiving treatment at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
The victims included two men aged 25, and two others aged 31 and 38.
Preliminary investigations indicate the van driver may have fallen asleep at the wheel, causing the collision.
